Everyone with a Vimonto Deploy account has a personal referral link. Someone who signs up through it gets 50% off Premium for their first 2 months. You get 10% off Premium for every one of them who pays, up to 100%, for as long as they keep paying.
You find your link under Account settings → Referrals, or through Get Premium for free in the account menu at the top right.
How does it work?
- Open the account menu at the top right, choose Account settings and then Referrals.
- Under Your link, click Copy and share the link: on your website, in a newsletter, in a video description or with a colleague. The link stays the same.
- Someone opens the link and creates an account. The sign-up page shows that you invited them, with their welcome discount. Without the link, they click Have a referral code? on the sign-up page and enter your code under Referral code. Your code is shown under Your link, as Your code.
- When their organization pays for Premium for the first time, you get the Referral became a customer notification, and your discount goes up by 10%.
The page shows how many people Signed up, how many are Paying, and Your discount.
Use the marketing kit
Click Marketing kit on the Referrals page for ready-made material with your code. Choose a Language (English, Dutch, German, French or Italian) and Light or Dark; everything on the page follows.
- Share images: PNG images with your code, your link and a QR code that opens it, in four sizes: Square (1080 × 1080, for Instagram and LinkedIn posts), Landscape (1200 × 630, for LinkedIn, X, Facebook and blog posts), Story (1080 × 1920, for stories) and Banner (1584 × 396, for a LinkedIn profile banner). Click Download PNG under an image.
- Posts to copy: a Short post, a LinkedIn post and an Email to a colleague, with your link. Click Copy and change them as you like.
- Press kit: About Vimonto Deploy (a description to copy), the Logos as SVG or PNG, the brand Colours (click one to copy its code), Screenshots of the product in the chosen language, and Videos.
Click Download the whole kit (.zip) to get everything at once: every image in both looks, the posts and the description as text files, the logos and the screenshots. The videos are not in the zip; download them from the page.
The images are made in your browser. Your link and code are in them, nothing else about you.
What does the person you invite get?
The organization made with their new account gets 50% off its first 2 months of Premium. It still starts with the 7-day trial; the discount applies when they click Upgrade to Premium. Their billing page shows Welcome discount until then and while it runs.
If they create another organization of their own and upgrade that one first, the welcome discount goes there instead. It is given once, to the first organization that pays.
What do you get?
You get 10% off Premium for every person you referred whose organization pays, up to 100%: with ten paying referrals, Premium is free.
- A referral counts while their organization pays. When they cancel or a payment stops for good, it no longer counts, and your discount goes down by 10% again.
- A referral only counts once they pay. Signing up alone, or the free trial, does not.
- Organizations you are a member of yourself don't count: you can't earn a discount by paying for your own organization.
- Changes take effect from the next invoice. Polar, our payment provider, applies a new discount when a new billing period starts, not in the middle of one.
Choose where your discount goes
Your discount goes to one organization. Under Where your discount goes, choose it under Organization. You can choose any organization you manage billing for (as owner or administrator), except one that already has Premium for free or for life.
- By default it goes to the first organization you own.
- If several members choose the same organization, their discounts add up, up to 100%.
- If you lose billing rights in the chosen organization, the discount moves to another organization you manage billing for.
- If that organization does not pay for Premium yet, the discount is applied when it subscribes.
The organization's billing page shows the discount as Referral discount. Choosing an organization is recorded in its audit log.
What do you see about the people you referred?
People you referred lists each sign-up with its date, the date of the first payment, and its state: Not paying yet, Paying or Stopped paying. Names and email addresses are never shown: their account is theirs.
Campaign codes
Vimonto Deploy sometimes runs a campaign with a code of its own, such as BLACKFRIDAY. A campaign code works like a referral code: open its link, or click Have a referral code? when you sign up and enter it under Referral code. The sign-up page shows what it gives, and the discount is applied when you click Upgrade to Premium. If you already have an account, enter the code in Polar's checkout after Upgrade to Premium.
A campaign code only works while the campaign runs, and some have a limit on how many organizations can use it. A code that has ended shows We don't know this referral code. Check it, or leave the field empty.; an organization that already uses it keeps its discount.
Frequently asked questions
Can I combine the referral discount with the welcome discount?
An organization has one discount at a time. While its welcome discount runs, it keeps that, unless your referral discount is higher. After the welcome months, your referral discount takes over.
I gave someone a discount myself in Polar. Is it overwritten?
No. A discount that was not made by the referral programme is left alone.
Does the link work through the website?
Yes. The link opens the Vimonto Deploy website. The code goes along with the links to the other pages and to the sign-up page. Nothing is stored in the visitor's browser, so there is no cookie and no consent banner for it.
What happens when I delete my account?
Your link stops working and your referrals end. The people you referred keep their accounts, and a welcome discount that has already started keeps running.
