Vimonto Deploy

Akamai (Linode)

Akamai Cloud servers, ready for your apps

Connect Akamai Cloud with a personal access token or by signing in, and create Linodes provisioned for PHP or Node.js in one go. Regions and plans come live from Akamai, and the same login manages VPCs and the DNS of your domains.

Connect once, create Linodes in one go

  1. 1

    Create a token

In your Akamai Cloud profile, open API Tokens → Create a Personal Access Token. Give Linodes, IPs, VPCs and Domains read and write access, with no expiry date.

  2. 2

    Paste it in Vimonto Deploy

Under Settings → Integrations, checked before it is saved and stored encrypted. Where the card offers it, sign in with Akamai instead.

  3. 3

    Create a Linode

Choose a region and a plan, live from Akamai with its own prices. The Linode is created on Ubuntu 24.04 and provisioned for your apps.

All your cloud accounts in one place

Each connected account shows whether it works, whether it can create servers and which domains it manages. Test the connection, refresh its domains or change its token from its menu.

What one Akamai login covers

  • Linodes

Servers for every role: app, web, worker, database, cache, Meilisearch or load balancer. Akamai takes the server's key directly at creation.

  • VPC private networks

Join a VPC in the region or create a new one. Database, cache and Meilisearch servers only open their ports to the VPC's address range.

  • DNS

Domains in your Akamai account point to their server by themselves when you add them to a site, and HTTPS follows once they resolve.

Your account, your bill

Linodes are created in your own Akamai Cloud account and billed by Akamai at its normal prices; see Akamai's cloud pricing. Vimonto Deploy charges nothing per server.

Database backups go to an S3-compatible bucket you own, such as Amazon S3, Hetzner Object Storage or any other S3-compatible storage where you enter the endpoint yourself.

Akamai (Linode) questions

Why does New server say my token has no VPC access?

The token was made without the VPCs permission. You can still create the server without a private network, or create a token with read and write for VPCs and paste it with Change name or token. An OAuth connection gets the access with Reconnect.

Why does my account show no DNS access?

The token lacks the Domains permission. Servers can still be created; give the token read and write for Domains to let Vimonto Deploy set DNS records.

Do OAuth connections stop working when the token expires?

No. Akamai's OAuth tokens expire after two hours, and Vimonto Deploy refreshes them before they are used. A personal access token with an expiry date does stop on that date, so choose no expiry.

What does it cost?

The free plan covers 1 server and 3 sites with every feature. Premium is €15 per month per organization, without limits. Vimonto Deploy charges nothing per server: your provider bills the server directly.

Your next deploy could be live before your coffee is.

Create an organization, connect a server and push. That is all.
