Vimonto Deploy vs Laravel Forge
Laravel Forge is made by the team behind Laravel, has years of track record, and offers its own Laravel VPS servers. Choose it if you want that ecosystem, custom roles or health checks from several regions. Choose Vimonto Deploy if you want a tool made and hosted in the EU, every feature on every plan for one price per organization, an interface in five languages, and a way to take your Forge servers over in place.

Where Vimonto Deploy and Laravel Forge differ
Track record and ecosystem. Laravel Forge comes from the makers of Laravel and has been used for years. It has things Vimonto Deploy does not: Laravel VPS servers that are ready in seconds, managed database and cache clusters, custom roles, and health checks from three regions. If you rely on those, Forge is the stronger fit.
What the price includes. Forge's Hobby plan costs less than Premium, but Forge's pricing page lists database backups, server monitoring, team members and roles for the Business plan at $39 per month. Vimonto Deploy has one paid plan, Premium at €15 per month per organization, and every feature (backups, monitoring, teams, the audit log, the API) is also on the free plan. See billing.
Where it comes from. Laravel Forge is offered by Laravel Holdings Inc. in New York. Vimonto Deploy is made and hosted in the EU, and its interface is in English, Dutch, German, French and Italian. In both cases your servers stay in your own cloud account, in the region you choose.
Smaller differences. Vimonto Deploy checks every site's uptime, creates DNS records at Cloudflare and the supported clouds, has an audit log, and opens a browser terminal on every server. Neither product lists file backups; Vimonto Deploy backs up databases only.
Information about Laravel Forge was checked on 7 October 2026 from its public website and documentation, linked above. Laravel and Laravel Forge are trademarks of their owner; they are named here only to compare.
Moving over from Laravel Forge
Vimonto Deploy can take Forge servers over in place. Under Servers → Import servers, choose Laravel Forge and paste an API token from your Forge profile. Vimonto Deploy lists your servers; you pick the ones to bring over.
Nothing is reinstalled and your domains keep pointing at the same servers, so visitors notice nothing. For each server, Vimonto Deploy gets access through Forge, then takes over databases and database users, firewall rules, workers, cron jobs and the sites with their repository, environment file, deploy script and certificate. Forge's Nginx files, Supervisor programs and cron jobs are moved to /root/vimonto-takeover-backup on the server, not deleted.
When a server is done, archive it in Forge so only one tool manages it. Imported servers and sites count towards your plan like any other, and the 7-day Premium trial is enough to try a full import.
- Database passwords are not readable through Forge's API, so database users come along without them.
- Moving to Vimonto Deploy does not need a new server: the import works on the machines you already have.
Questions about Vimonto Deploy and Laravel Forge
Is Vimonto Deploy an alternative to Laravel Forge?
Yes. Both provision servers in your own cloud account or on your own VPS and deploy PHP and JavaScript apps with zero downtime. If you know Forge, the way of working will feel familiar. Forge has a longer track record and features such as Laravel VPS and custom roles; Vimonto Deploy is made and hosted in the EU and includes every feature on every plan.
Can I move my Forge servers without downtime?
Yes. The import takes servers over in place: nothing is reinstalled and DNS does not change. Sites, certificates, workers, cron jobs, databases and deploy scripts come along, and Forge's own files are kept in a backup folder on the server.
Which is cheaper, Vimonto Deploy or Laravel Forge?
It depends on what you need. Forge starts at $12 per month, but its pricing page lists backups, monitoring and team members for the Business plan at $39 per month. Vimonto Deploy is free for 1 server and 3 sites, and Premium costs €15 per month per organization with every feature and no limits.
Does Vimonto Deploy support AWS like Laravel Forge?
Yes. Vimonto Deploy creates EC2 servers in any AWS region with an IAM access key, gives them a fixed Elastic IP and manages your Route 53 DNS. Google Cloud works the same way, as do Hetzner Cloud, DigitalOcean, Vultr and Akamai.
Where is my data stored?
Vimonto Deploy is made and hosted in the EU. Your servers and database backups stay in your own cloud and storage accounts, in the regions you choose.
